Approach
How we work – from brief to iteration.
A clear brief, a coherent direction and careful execution. This page walks through the four stages of a project, what happens in each of them, what you receive and what we need from you.
(00)Why process matters
Good work fails when decisions are made in the wrong order.
Most marketing projects do not fail for lack of ideas. They fail because ads are produced before the message is clear, pages are designed before the argument exists, or results are judged before anyone agreed what success means.
The principle
Our process exists to put decisions in the right order. First we understand the business and agree on the objective. Then we decide what to say and how it should look. Only then do we produce – and once it is live, we learn from what happens and decide what to change.
The four stages are not a bureaucratic ritual. On a small project they can take days; on a larger one, weeks. Some of them overlap. What matters is that each stage produces a clear result that the next one can rely on – and that nobody has to guess what was decided.
- 01Without order
Production before direction
Creatives and pages are made before the message is clear – and rebuilt when it finally is.
- 02Without agreement
Success without a definition
Results are judged against expectations that nobody wrote down, so every discussion starts from zero.
- 03Without learning
Tests without hypotheses
Things are changed constantly, but nobody can say what was learned or why something worked.
(01)The process
Four stages, one direction.
Each stage answers a different question – and hands a clear result to the next.

Phase 01 / 04
Understand
Define the offer, audience, objectives and project scope.
What happens
Every project starts with listening. Before anything is designed or written, we need to understand the business behind it: what you offer, to whom, at what price, through which channels – and what has already been tried.
We look at the existing material with fresh eyes: ads, pages, enquiry forms, follow-up messages and whatever data is available. Often the most useful insights come from the language of real customers – in reviews, sales calls and the questions people ask before they buy.
At the end of this phase there is a written brief that everyone agrees on. It names the objective, the audience, the constraints and the scope. It is the reference point for every decision that follows.
Activities
What we do
Kick-off conversation
Business model, offer, audience, history and ambitions – in your words.
Asset review
Existing ads, pages, funnels, emails and brand material, reviewed against the objective.
Data & feedback review
Available figures, customer feedback, sales notes and common objections.
Objectives & constraints
What success looks like, what is fixed and what can change.
Outputs
What you have afterwards
- 01Brief
- A concise document that captures the offer, audience, situation and objective.
- 02Objectives
- Agreed goals, with early indicators and final outcomes kept apart.
- 03Scope
- What is in, what is out, who does what and in which order.
What we need from you
- Access to existing ad accounts, pages and analytics
- Examples of customer language: reviews, emails, call notes
- Time for one in-depth conversation and a few follow-up questions
Phase 02 / 04
Shape
Develop the positioning, messaging and creative direction.
What happens
With a shared understanding in place, we decide what the brand should say and how it should look and sound. This is where positioning becomes concrete: one primary promise, the arguments that carry it and the proof behind it.
From the messaging we derive the creative direction: hooks and angles for advertising, the argument of the landing page, the tone of follow-up messages and the visual language that ties everything together.
Shaping is a dialogue. We present options with a clear recommendation, discuss them with you and decide together. The result is a direction that is specific enough to produce from – and that everyone understands.
Activities
What we do
Positioning decision
Audience focus, core promise and differentiation, agreed in writing.
Messaging framework
Primary message, supporting pillars, proof points and objection handling.
Creative direction
Hooks, angles, formats and visual principles for the first production round.
Journey outline
The planned path from ad to page to enquiry, step by step.
Outputs
What you have afterwards
- 01Positioning
- A clear decision about who the brand serves and why it is the better choice.
- 02Messaging
- A framework that every piece of copy can be derived from.
- 03Creative direction
- Concepts and principles that production can work from without guessing.
What we need from you
- Feedback on options – honest, specific and in time
- Decisions on offer details, pricing logic and proof
- Approval of the direction before production starts
Phase 03 / 04
Build
Create the assets, pages and technical connections.
What happens
Production follows the direction. Copy is written first, then design follows the message – for ads, for landing pages and for every step of the enquiry flow.
In parallel, the technical connections are built: forms, applications, booking tools, CRM and email integrations, and a measurement set-up that answers the questions agreed in the brief.
Before anything goes live, it is checked: on different devices and connections, with test enquiries through the full flow and with tracking verified end to end. A launch should be a non-event – everything has been tested before.
Activities
What we do
Copy & creative production
Ad copy, scripts and creative assets for the first test round.
Page design & development
Landing pages and flows, designed and built for desktop and mobile.
Integrations
Forms, booking, CRM, email and webhooks connected and documented.
Quality assurance
Devices, speed, forms, links and tracking checked before launch.
Outputs
What you have afterwards
- 01Ads
- Campaign structure, copy and creative, ready to launch.
- 02Pages
- Live landing pages and enquiry flows.
- 03Integrations
- Working connections between pages, forms, tools and follow-up.
What we need from you
- Access and permissions for platforms and tools
- Assets that only you can provide: photos, videos, testimonials, credentials
- A final review and go-ahead for launch
Phase 04 / 04
Refine
Review available data and feedback to guide the next iteration.
What happens
Launch is the beginning of learning, not the end of the project. In a fixed rhythm we review what the data and the feedback say – from ad performance to page behaviour to the quality of enquiries.
We separate signal from noise. Early indicators show whether the journey works as intended; final outcomes show whether it pays off. Both matter, but they are read differently and over different time frames.
Every review ends with decisions: what to keep, what to change and what to test next. The learnings are documented, so the next round starts from knowledge instead of opinion.
Activities
What we do
Regular reviews
A fixed rhythm for looking at results together – short, structured and focused on decisions.
Signal vs. noise
Early indicators and final outcomes, each read in the right time frame.
Learning log
Hypotheses, tests and results documented in one place.
Next iteration
Prioritised changes to ads, pages and flows for the next round.
Outputs
What you have afterwards
- 01Review
- A clear picture of what happened and why – without vanity metrics.
- 02Learnings
- What we now know that we did not know before.
- 03Next iteration
- The specific changes for the next round, in order of impact.
What we need from you
- Feedback from sales conversations and customers
- Information about changes in offer, capacity or priorities
- Time for the review conversations
A launch is not the end of a project. It is the moment the market starts answering our questions.
Refine
(02)Rhythm
A typical sequence.
Stages overlap where it saves time – and stay separate where a decision has to be made first. The exact timing depends on scope; the order does not.
Kick-off
The first in-depth conversation. Objectives, audience and scope are discussed and written down.
Direction agreed
Positioning, messaging and creative direction are approved. Production can start without guesswork.
Launch
Ads, pages and flows go live after testing. Measurement is verified from the first day.
Review
The first structured review of results – and the start of the next iteration.
(03)Decisions
Hypothesis, test, decision.
Testing only helps if it leads to decisions. That is why every test starts with a written hypothesis and ends with a documented conclusion.
| Step | Question | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Hypothesis | What do we believe, and why? | An outcome-led hook will stop more of the right people than a problem-led one. |
| Test | How do we check it with one variable? | Two ads, identical except for the first line, same audience and budget. |
| Learn | What did the result tell us? | The outcome-led hook earned more qualified clicks; the problem-led one more comments. |
| Decide | What changes now? | Outcome-led hooks become the default; problem-led hooks move to retargeting. |
Illustrative example – not a client result.
(06)Principles
Five principles behind every decision.
Message before media.
Channels amplify what is already clear. That is why positioning comes before budgets, formats and targeting – and why we return to it whenever results stall.
Clarity over cleverness.
A message that is understood does more than one that is merely noticed. We would rather be plain and convincing than clever and forgettable.
Test, then decide.
Assumptions become hypotheses. Structured tests with one variable at a time turn them into decisions – documented, so they are not made twice.
Design carries meaning.
Layout, typography and motion are part of the argument. They decide what is read first, what is trusted and what is ignored.
Every step earns the next.
Each touchpoint has one job: making the next step feel obvious. If a step does not serve that job, it is changed or removed.
(04)Working together
Clear roles make fast projects.
Good collaboration is less about tools and more about knowing who decides what, and when.

(05)Questions
Questions about the process.
01How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope. A focused landing page or funnel review can be done in a short time; a full positioning with campaigns and funnel takes longer. We agree on a realistic sequence in the first conversation – before anything starts.
02Do we have to go through all four stages?
The order stays the same, but the depth changes. On a small project, understanding and shaping may take a single session. We never skip the decisions themselves – only unnecessary ceremony.
03How often do we talk during a project?
There is a kick-off, a direction review and a launch check. In ongoing partnerships we agree on a fixed review rhythm. In between, questions are answered asynchronously.
04What if the results are not what we expected?
Then the review tells us where the journey breaks – in the message, the audience, the page or the follow-up – and the next iteration addresses exactly that. This is why we document hypotheses and learnings.
05Who owns the accounts and assets?
You do. Ad accounts, pages, data and creative assets belong to your business. We work with the access you grant and hand everything over cleanly.
06Can you work with our team or other agencies?
Yes. We often work alongside internal teams, sales staff or specialists. Clear roles and a shared brief make that easy.
Start with a conversation.
Tell us about your business and what you want to build. The first step of every project is understanding it.
